Since January, Les Sables Olimag has been working on the geotechnical and environmental characterization of the former Frontenac mine site, located in East Broughton, in the Chaudière-Appalaches region of Québec. This study, aimed at better understanding the repercussions of asbestos mining tailings in the environment and their subsequent treatment, will be used to design restoration scenarios for the site.
